My dear brothers and sisters in Christ, Have you ever found yourself asking God why things are the way they are? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why do innocent children suffer? Why don’t our prayers seem to be answered? Perhaps we find ourselves questioning God’s plan because we don’t understand it. Maybe we feel that God has abandoned us or that he’s not listening to our cries for help. But what if, instead of asking God why things are the way they are, he were to ask us why we’re not doing more to help those in need? In the book of James, we read, “But someone will say, ‘You have faith; I have deeds.’ Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by my deeds” (James 2:18). This verse reminds us that our faith is not just about what we believe, it’s about what we do. We are called to be the hands and feet of Jesus in this world, to show love and compassion to those who are hurting and in need. So instead of asking God why things are the way they are, what if we were to ask ourselves why we’re not doing more to make a difference? Why are we not taking action to help those who are suffering around us? Why are we not living out the call to love our neighbors as ourselves? God has given us the power to affect change in this world. We have the ability to make a positive impact in the lives of others, to spread the hope and love of Christ to those who desperately need it. But are we willing to step out of our comfort zones and do what it takes to make a difference? My dear friends, let us not waste any more time asking God why things are the way they are. Instead, let us ask ourselves why we’re not doing more to help. Let us pray for the wisdom and courage to respond to God’s call to be his hands and feet in this world. And let us commit to taking action, so that we can be the change that we wish to see in this world. May God bless you all, and may his love and grace guide and support you always. Amen. DoGood

The Decline of Discipline: Losing Prayer & Spankings in Schools Led to Kids Calling Cops on Parents
Discipline, structure, and obedience used to be a cornerstone of American culture, but in recent years, we’ve seen a significant decline in traditional parenting methods. With the removal of prayer and corporal punishment from schools and communities, kids have become more entitled and disrespectful, leading them to call the police on their parents for enforcing rules and consequences. When I was growing up, prayer was an essential part of school and community life. It gave us a sense of purpose and guidance that we carried with us into our homes and personal lives. Similarly, when we acted out or misbehaved, we knew that a spanking from our parents or grandparents was imminent. While these practices may seem barbaric or outdated to some, they instilled a sense of respect, responsibility, and consequences in us that we still carry with us today. Unfortunately, in some communities, these practices have become taboo, and parents who enforce them risk being labeled as abusive or neglectful. Kids are taught to question authority, and rules that were once considered steadfast are now considered archaic and unnecessary. The problem is that this shift in thinking has led to a lack of discipline, structure, and order, making it difficult for kids to transition smoothly into adulthood. Nowadays, kids are quick to call the cops on their parents for minor infractions, leading to a breakdown in the family structure and a loss of trust between parent and child. Many parents feel caught in a bind, unable to enforce rules for fear of retribution or legal consequences. The result is a generation of entitled, disrespectful, and undisciplined children who struggle to navigate the challenges of the real world. So what can we do to reverse this trend? How can we teach our kids to be respectful and obedient without resorting to violence or punishment? One solution is to focus on positive reinforcement and building strong relationships with our children. We can teach them the value of hard work, responsibility, and consequences in a positive and supportive manner. Another approach is to reintroduce discipline practices that have been lost over the years. This could mean incorporating prayer or meditation into our daily routines, or even revisiting the idea of spanking as a form of discipline (but only if done in an appropriate and safe manner). The key is to find a balance between structure and freedom, so our children learn both responsibility and independence. In conclusion, discipline, structure, and obedience are all vital traits that we need to instill in our children if they are to succeed in life. While the removal of prayer and punishment from schools and communities may have had some unintended consequences, it is up to us as parents to find new and effective ways to instill these values in our children. Only then can we hope to raise a generation of responsible, respectful, and successful young adults.

‘Over 40, Any Love Left to Love Me?’
As we get older, there are certain questions that seem to echo around us, questions that tug at our hearts and make us wonder if there’s any hope left. One such question that often plagues those over 40 is, “Is there any love left to love me?” It’s a heart-wrenching question that can make us feel as though the walls are closing in on us. It’s a fear that’s shared by many, but what’s often forgotten is that there is no one-size-fits-all age when it comes to finding love. If you’re over 40 and single, you may have experienced dead-end relationships and romantic entanglements that didn’t work out, but that doesn’t mean that you’re undeserving of happiness. In fact, your age can make you even more appealing to potential partners. You’ve lived more life, gained more experience, and are often ready to settle down and embark on a serious relationship with someone special. Yes, you might have to kiss a few frogs before you find your prince or princess, but don’t let that put you off. Love after 40 can still be a reality, and you don’t have to settle for second best. You can be selective and choose someone who complements you and can make you happy long-term. But how do you go about finding that special someone? The answer is simple – you have to put yourself out there. Start by getting involved in activities that interest you. Attend events, join clubs, and sign up for classes. You never know who you might meet, and even if you don’t meet your soulmate, you’ll still have fun and make new friends. Another great way to meet new people is through online dating. With so many dating apps and websites available, it’s easier than ever to connect with others who are looking for love. Be honest in your profile, and don’t be afraid to reach out to people who catch your eye. Of course, dating can be scary, especially if you’ve been out of the game for a while. You might worry about rejection or disappointment, but it’s important to remember that these are normal fears that everyone experiences. Don’t let them hold you back from taking a chance on love. If dating isn’t your thing, that’s okay too. There are plenty of ways to find love and fulfillment in your life. Focus on your hobbies, spend time with friends and family, or even volunteer. Loving yourself first is the most important part of the journey. It’s important to remember that finding love is a journey, not a destination. It takes time, effort, and patience, but the rewards are immeasurable. Don’t give up hope, even if you’ve been single for a long time. There’s still plenty of love to be found, you just have to be open to it. In conclusion, if you’re over 40 and wondering if there’s any love left to love you, the answer is a resounding yes. Your age doesn’t define you, and it doesn’t mean that you’re less deserving of love and happiness. Keep an open heart and mind, and trust that love will come your way when the time is right. Don’t let fear hold you back from the possibility of finding your soulmate. Embrace life, take chances, and above all, love yourself.
Black Men want to Lead in Their Relationships but are they up for the Tasks?
Now more than ever, black men are in a unique position to lead in relationships. The winds of the 21st century have brought on increased visibility and influence for black males and collective strides in leadership. This is a valuable opportunity for a group generations in the past were less encouraged to assume any type of leadership. However, with this newfound authority over relationships comes great responsibility. As a black man, you must be willing to take ownership of your own journey and commit to a supportive and uplifting dynamic with your partner. There are unique historical, educational, and economic factors that make it even more crucial for black men to prove they can lead without prejudice, and step up and out of their comfort zones. The realities of racial, gender, and social bias still exist, even if we like to think not. There are misconceptions to be addressed, stereotypes to dissertation, and naysayers to prove wrong. It all starts with a self reflective journey to explore your own biases, values, and definitions of leadership. The reassuring part is that in today’s society, black men now have the capability, confidence, and community to pursue relationships as a leader. Black men can be supportive, involved, communicative, and emotionally intelligent. They can set healthy boundaries. These qualities demonstrate his ability to lead, but how does a black man effectively flex these abilities in the face of social norms and traditional relationships? It requires an openness to encountering the unknown and having honest conversations about expectations and desires. Of course, nobody is perfect, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach that works for all black men. Each relationship is unique, and the way you express yourself as a black man may differ from others. What matters most is that you take ownership of your own identity as a leader, and refuse to be reduced to societal stereotypes. Leadership for black men is not impossible; it is only rarely attempted in a present-day relationship. With a personal commitment to take ownership and make the necessary adjustments, black men can unapologetically embrace the leadership they bring to relationships.

We listen to our bodies and make smart choices that keep us and the planet healthy. But let’s keep it a buck, trying to school people on this can be a real struggle. They think we’re flaky or just tryna be trendy. “You ain’t really a vegetarian, though, right?” they say, like we’re some kinda poser. And don’t even get me started on the endless questions. “What even is your diet, bruh?” “Do you just live off kale or what?” “Where’s the protein at?” It’s like they’re stuck on repeat. But we ain’t sweating it, Flexitarians. We got humor and swag for days. Next time someone tries to come at you, hit ’em with some “I’m a Flexitarian, meaning I eat everything except for trash and nonsense.” Or, “I’m a Flexitarian, meaning I listen to my body, and my body’s like, ‘Give me a juicy burger, fam!’” Laughter is key to living our best lives, y’all. And if all else fails, just shrug your shoulders and say, “I don’t even know, but I’m hungry as hell, so let’s eat!” At the end of the day, it’s all about making choices that feel good for us and our bods. So let’s rep our Flexitarianism and enjoy the best of both worlds – the satisfaction of a tasty meal and the knowledge that we’re doing our part for the environment. Aight, peace out, fam!
